Reception and cleaning staff helpful. The location was good. We especially wanted a room to sleep four (2 adults and 2 children). The small balcony had a lovely view of the the mountains.
Disappointed on arrival that we had to wait 3 1/2 hours before the reception reopened, so could not enter the building and had to carry heavy bags all afternoon. It would have been useful to know that the reception had opening/closing times beforehand. The room, was not overly clean; the floor really needed a hoover and thorough clean. The decor and furnishings were a bit tired; the material on the chairs was torn. There were many missing items in the kitchenette E.G. some cutlery and crockery . These things could easily be improved to make the stay more comfortable and enjoyable.

Is it really that good? My take
The quaint location allowed easy walks to the medieval town and beyond! Super helpful staff made for a cute atmosphere.
Air conditioning was tricky to operate! Poor water pressure in the shower was frustrating.

Cetral
It was quite old and "used" espesially the bartroom and toilette. The breakfast was very poor with no service.

The secure underground parking was a highlight. The kitchenette in the room allowed for easy meal prep. The air conditioning was problematic. It appeared to be locked and ineffective. Service at the reception could be more efficient, as the staff seemed overwhelmed during busy check-in times. Noise from the nearby nightlife impacted the overall comfort during the night.

The staff were at reception but refused to check us in for several hours so we were hanging around doing nothing with our suitcases for ages. The room was very very hot and there was no air conditioning. There is a kitchenette but all the dishes and cutlery were dirty. They tried to over charge us.

secure underground parking, well-equipped kitchenettes, spacious family rooms
The outdated décor could use a serious transformation!!! Air conditioning units are loud and dusty, seriously diminishing comfort!!! Limited bathroom space is impractical.

We have been going to the Hotel Curial for the past 2 years as we love Chambery. It is a good, well located and practical place. Lovely breakfast/cleaning staff. Good kitchenette for self-catering.
We like the flats that have a separation between the bedroom and the living area but you cannot always get them. You need to check that you have all the ustensils in the kitchen as it is a bit randomly done. Floor was a bit dirty this time around but staff helpful if you ask them to do something.
